When one comes upon the word volunteer in the Thesaurus, they would find the following words:

• Come forward

• Take the initiative

• Offer one-self

These are words I would not have thought of when I heard the word volunteer a few years ago. The following words would have come to mind: obligation, don’t have time, and why me.

What has changed? My perspective. I now perceive it as an opportunity to grow as an individual. In addition to, helping all of you mold future generations.

The opportunity to grow and help future generations achieve their dreams is still wide open. To those who committed time, THANK YOU!
