• Box Tops for Education Totals
  Every Box Tops for Education label turned in, earns our PTA 10¢. Consider it free money for the PTA since you don’t have to spend anything extra…the labels are on the products you already buy, such as Kleenex, Ziploc, Cottonelle, Betty Crocker, General Mills and many more. As of October 31, our school has raised $446.70. At the end of the school year, the class in each grade that raises the most will earn a Box Tops treat. • Select your Dream Dinners entrée by December 12
  This is a fun, easy, convenient, nutritious and affordable way to support our 5th graders as they make their last attempt to raise enough money for everyone to attend Outdoor Science Camp.
  
  Simply, select a 6 serving entrée from the Dream Dinner December or January menu for only $25. (Sorry, only 1 per participant!) • Cougar Flip Flops Have Arrived!

  A great big “thank you” to all who joined us at California Pizza Kitchen on November 6. As a result of your support, our PTA raised $532.
   

• Red Ribbon Week, October 27-31
  Get Ready, Get Red, Go!! This year, Red Ribbon Week will be celebrated during the week of October 27th-31st . The California State PTA is proud again be a co-sponsor of this important campaign against the use of drugs and alcohol. Students in our school will participate in class activities and campus events to encourage healthy, drug-free lifestyles. To kick off Red Ribbon Week, we are asking everyone to wear red during the week. So get your RED clothes ready to wear to Red Ribbon Week!!

• Simplified Scrip
  For those of you who haven't yet tried Simplified Scrip, or would like to see how simple it is to place an order, Courreges PTA will assist you at the Scrip Order Table next week, Monday-Thursday, October 27-30. We will be outside the school office or on the sidewalk alongside the parking lot (depending on the weather). Each day the table will be open from 12-1 pm. Please come by and let us help you place your orders. Thank you for your support!

  Reflections is a PTA sponsored creative arts competition. Art can be in any form from writing to painting, from singing to dancing, or anything in between. • Rubio’s dinner was a great success!
  Thank you to all who were able to attend our first restaurant fundraiser this year. Thanks to your support, we raised $266. Hope to see all of you at our next Fundraiser at the California Pizza Kitchen in November! (Don’t forget to buy your Scrip cards for this event.)
   

• Best Paw Training:
  The objective of the Best Paw program is to improve children’s reading and comprehension skills for K- 2nd graders. It is consistently one of the most highly valued of all the Courreges PTA programs. Parents are needed to volunteer to test students during class to time to verify that the student has read and comprehended the book. All testers must attend one of the mandatory training sessions.   Be sure you are included in the student directory. It’is a great way to get in touch with friends and classmates. Even if you don’t want to purchase one, you must sign the form to authorize the publication of your phone and/or address.   The Courreges Spirit Wear (logo items) has all been redesigned this year by some wonderful graphic artists. A rack with size and design samples is located just inside the door on your way from the office to the Multi-purpose Room. Students love to wear their Spirit Wear on “Spirit Fridays”.
