OPEN JAT CHAIRS



Our Jog-a-thon committee is already starting to plan the annual fundraiser, but they need your help. We have two very important positions that need to be filled ASAP! These positions will be trained this year in order to run the show next year!


JOG-A-THON DAY COORDINATOR (2 positions)

You will be in charge of the actual day of Jog-a-thon. This includes organizing the room parents/volunteers, coordinating the actual event, water tables, Popsicles and medals, DJ and overseeing the laps tallying at the end of the even in coordination with the room parents.

JOG-A-THON KICK-OFF COORDINATOR (2 positions)

You will be in charge of the kick-off assembly. The coordinators will be working with a former major-league baseball player who will be our kick off assembly presentation! They will also work closely with the publications team in order to have packages ready to go that day.

REMEMBER—JOG-A-THON IS OUR MAIN FUNDRAISER FOR THE SCHOOL. PLEASE HELP BY GETTING INVOLVED!

JAT needs you!

 

As you know our annual Jog-a-thon is our one big fundraiser of the year. This past year we have taken the steps to split up the duties into more manageable positions. A lot of committee members from last year have stepped up to help in various positions this coming year. However, we still need to fill two very important parts of this event!

 

JAT Kick Off Coordinator – OPEN
Is responsible for picking a theme for this years Jog-a-thon. This chair plans and coordinates the Kick off assembly and oversees the overall Jog-a-thon functions and planning. The chair is in charge of making sure that all the other committees are informed and communicating with each other. This chair has a committee to work with.

 

JAT Day Coordinator – OPEN
This chair is in charge of the actual Jog-a-thon day. They make sure to have volunteers signed up and communicate with the room parent coordinator. They request water donations for the event, hire a DJ, order medals and communicate with the Grade Level Coordinator in regards to lapcards and classroom supplies. This chair has a committee to work with.

Grade Level Coordinator – Mari Rohfeld
This position is in charge of processing and distributing all printed materials for the Jog-a-thon. They communicate with the other chairs on the required and necessary flyers and forms. They assemble all the packages for the individual students.

 

Solicitation – Trisha Templin
This chair send out all letters requesting donations. They make the follow up phone calls, fill out forms for the donating companies and provide any additional information required. They also send out the thank you letters after a donation was made to the Jog-a-thon.

 

Prize Day – Libby Frolichman
This position shops for all additional prices as necessary. They create the price packages, coordinate the Prize Day set up and Volunteers. They are in close communication with the Solicitation chair on additional request for donations.

 

Finance/Matching – Nicola Weiss
This Chair process all the monetary donations received. They process the matching forms and follow up with the matching companies should questions arise. They send out outstanding funds memos to families. This position must be covered by an Executive Board Member.
