Dear Parents and Families,
The Scholastic Book Fair will be arriving with loads of great books
here at Courreges School on Monday, May 21 through Friday, May 25.
As a special treat to our families and teachers we are offering a
"Buy One Get One Free" fair. You'll get twice the amount of
books for half the price!
Attached is a Book Fair book list, which highlights just a few of
the books available. Every student will visit the fair during the
school day sometime next week, and we hope you’ll also stop by to
see our great selection of books. Volunteers will be there to help
the children, and they can make their purchases with cash or checks
made out to Courreges PTA. Adults can also pay by credit card.
There will be great finds for all ages!
This Is A Great Opportunity To:
-
Get our students excited about reading all
summer long.
-
Purchase end of the year thank-you gifts.
Teachers have submitted “WISH LIST BOXES” filled
with books that will enrich their classroom libraries. When you
visit the fair, you can purchase
one or more books to donate. Each donated book will be
recognized with a book plate
identifying your child or family as the donor.
-
Buy BOOK GIFT CERTIFICATES. You may
purchase them in any amount and give them
to teachers. The teachers can then come to the fair and spend
these like cash. In the past,
parents have found the teacher’s “Wish List Boxes” empty, so
this is another way to donate
to the classrooms.
-
Buy BEST PAW FORWARD books.
The Book Fair is located on the stage in the multipurpose room and
will be open daily from
8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. except Thursday and Friday when it will close
at 1:00 p.m.
We will also have a special time for families to shop during OPEN
HOUSE NIGHT on
Thursday May 25th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
So come and load up on some great books for summer with DOUBLE the
savings.
We Hope To See You There!
Sincerely,
Marcela Curtiss & Melissa Bernardin, Book Fair Chairpersons

Please
stop the “Spring Bookfair” from becoming an endangered specie!
The PTA is looking for a Bookfair Co-Chair! We have already had one
“Courreges” parent step up to the task, now we are looking for
another! Please remember, the bookfair brings books into the
library, into your child’s classroom, and most importantly into your
home! The bookfair also works in conjunction with our Best Paw
Program. The Best Paw raffle winners receive “Cougar Bucks”
that can be used at the bookfair. Last year we had over 100 winners,
including a grand prize of $25.00 worth of cougar bucks!
Please don’t let the Bookfair become “extinct”. If we are
unable to find a co-chair for this committee, we will be forced to
eliminate the bookfair this Spring.
