Entertainment Books and Sally Foster

 

Please help support the 5th Graders. They are selling Entertainment Books and Sally Foster. If you would like to purchase an Entertainment book or any items from Sally Foster, there will be order forms located in the office. You can also place an online at www.entertainment.com.  The school account number is 871304.

 

Sales start September 23, 2008 and end October 10, 2008.

5th Grade Parent Meeting !!

Welcome Back . . .

                   What:         5th Grade Parent Meeting

                   When:        Monday, September 22nd at 6:30 pm

                   Where:       Courreges Multipurpose Room

                   Re:              Overview of 5th Grade Activities

We will hold a 5th grade parent meeting on September 22nd to provide an overview of the 5th grade activities, including the Outdoor Education Program, costs and fundraising opportunities, and end-of-year events.

We will be kicking off our first fundraisers – Entertainment Books ($35 each) and Gift Wrap in September.   Please join us!  Call Michelle McNeill (714) 596-2425 or Kim Sheldon (714) 375-4275 with questions.

5th GRADE ACTIVITIES

Dear Parents,

 

We are currently planning our 5th grade activities for this year. This is such an exciting time for your child! Communication between parents, staff and the 5th grade committee will be very important for a successful final year at Courreges!

A $50 nonrefundable deposit is due on: September 29, 2008

 

Minimum $250 due in each account: November 17, 2008

 

Final amount due: December 5, 2008

 

Parents will be receiving payment notices for their account balances until full amount is paid.

(Although we have set up a payment schedule for due dates of account balances, you may pay more than the required amount at any time).

 

OUTDOOR EDUCATION

Arrowhead Ranch Conference Center, Arrowhead Ranch Outdoor Science School 480 Cottage Grove, PO Box 123 Lake Arrowhead, California 92352 www.arrowheadkidscamp.comDecember 15-19, 2008. Students have the opportunity to experience natural science in an outdoor laboratory setting through this overnight program. This program is aligned with the State’s Standards for 5th grade Science. It is a wonderful educational and growth experience for every child.  If your child is unable to attend, due to illness, you will receive a refund. If your child becomes ill at camp, you must pick up your child, and you will receive partial refund, based on the Camp’s prorate policy. 

 

MEMORY/YEARBOOK

Each child will receive a 5th grade memory/yearbook and will include highlights from camp, a special letter from their teacher, individual pictures and a message from the principal. As you take pictures throughout the year, please share all of your photos with the yearbook committee. Volunteers from each class will ensure equal representation of each child. This book will be distributed during the last week of school.  Please start putting all of your photos from past years on a disc in JPG format this summer.
