Note from your 2009-2010 Courreges PTA President

 

Welcome back! I hope everyone had a fun, restful holiday.
I’d like to introduce myself as your new PTA president. My name is Michelle Eichinger, and I have a fourth grader and a second grader here at Courreges. As a former middle school teacher (as well as current substitute teacher in the Fountain Valley School District), I have a strong passion for excellence in education. I am so excited to take on this new challenge to help lead our PTA.

With the new year comes new volunteer opportunities. We are currently starting the nominating process for next year’s board and will hold the first meeting of the nominating committee this month. I encourage anyone who is interested in a leadership position to discuss this with the nominating committee, headed by Nicola Weiss (cn.weiss@verizon.net). We are also looking for parents who would like to get involved in the various committees around campus; Jog-a-thon could always use a helping hand! If the social aspect of PTA sounds more appealing, we currently have an opening for social chair. We also hold regular PTA meetings every third Wednesday of the month at 8 A.M. We’d love to see you there with any ideas, suggestions or comments.

I can’t wait to work together, to continue the tradition of excellence here at Courreges!
